Hugs

April 2025 or where will we all be ?

If only we could put hugs in a bag.

I’d gladly pay for extra luggage when I first left my family.

I’d take five out when they turned their backs on me : if I’ve got five hugs, it shouldn’t take me five years to heal.

I’d use four when his one question made my heart jump out of my chest and run to the bathroom as fast as I could. How nice would it be, to build myself a little sanctuary out of hugs while navigating heartbreaks ?

Give me three hugs, and I’ll prove how the triangle is the strongest shape to ever exist.

Two hugs, one slightly used and one brand new. Maybe that’s how I can show my past and future self : no matter what, remember I love you.

I’ll bring one when I go out, just in case. Emergency hug to give to the girl who hates me, if she really needs it (like, really really).

Remember when your grandma fills your bag with food before you leave her house ? That’s how goodbyes could be like. No tears, just hugs in a bag - okay maybe, hugs slightly salty with tears. And maybe, hugs in several bags. In a suitcase.

That one friend who likes strawberries : maybe that’s how her hugs will smell too. Luckily hugs don’t expire.

Hugs from a friend group ? HUG SMOOTHIE. BEST FLAVOUR EVER.

Breaking news : portable hugs stop us from starving on love. We’re not ending world hunger yet, but we’re on it.

Maybe this winter I’ll layer with some hugs from my friends and family. Maybe the one unisex fashion is … you guessed it, haven’t you.
